Melis is a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and is a practising therapist in Melbourne. Strongly adopting the idea of individualism, Melis, centres her practice around accommodating every client by incorporating both empathy and professionalism. She predominantly works around the areas; anxiety, depression, phobias, childhood trauma, counselling client(s) with addiction(s), couples counselling, and offers them various tools towards self-development and individual growth.
Her approach encompasses empathy, professionalism and reliability. Whilst incorporating numerous methods of therapy within her practice (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Behavioural Therapy, Integrative-Holistic Therapy and Humanistic Approach), Melis strongly deems it essential to recognise the power to know that ‘knowledge is limitless’. Hence, her primary focus is on keeping up-to-date and integrating various approaches/techniques (both old and new) to better assist all her clients.
‘Each client requires a new outlook and is out to set both short & long-term goals that are specifically to aid them on their journey towards personal growth’.
